Asus 2-in-1 Q535 Laptop Review

Asus 2-in-1 Q535 Laptop Review

Asus is one of the most popular PC manufacturers in the world, and it’s no surprise. They make some of the best laptops, even though they sometimes get less attention than other brands. The Asus 2-in-1 Q535 is an excellent example of why Asus has such a reputation for excellence; this laptop is well-made, easy to use and repair, and packed with features you’d expect from a high-end device like this one – but also offers something extraordinary: portability!

Design

The Q535 is made from plastic, which isn’t surprising given that it’s a budget laptop. It measures 11.8 x 8.2 x 0.83 inches and weighs 4 pounds, so it’s not too heavy to carry around—but it’s still more severe than some other thin-and-light laptops on our list of best computers for college students (like the Acer Chromebook 13).

The screen has a resolution of 1920x1080p at 149 pixels per inch (PPI), which means you’ll have some detail loss when you zoom in on text or images onscreen. Still, your eyes won’t strain as much when looking at them up close or reading them off screen at longer distances, like in an airplane seat where most people read their devices anyway!

It also has an IPS panel technology built into its glass surface instead of TN panels in cheaper displays like those found on many other laptops today.”

Screen

The screen is a good size, with a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with an anti-glare coating for glare-free viewing. It’s also bright at 400 nits and has wide viewing angles of 178 degrees horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.

The Q535 can play back video content in its native form (as well as Windows 10’s Edge browser) without any conversion or compression—which is great if you want to watch movies on this laptop without worrying about it being too small to fit all your favorite shows onto one screen at once.

Keyboard, Touchpad, and Touchscreen

The keyboard has a chiclet-style design that makes it easy to type and navigate. The keys are shallow but firm when pressed, so you won’t accidentally hit them by mistake. They’re also spaced apart appropriately for touch typing—not too close together or far apart so your fingers can’t reach them easily.

The touchpad is responsive and accurate; we had no trouble using it without inadvertently clicking the wrong thing onscreen or missing what we wanted because our fingers were busy trying to find their way around this small input device (like we all do).

The touchscreen is also responsive: if you try using it while wearing gloves or holding onto something heavy like a textbook case full of papers, there’s no lag between touching the screen and seeing what happens in response! And finally… it’s easy enough even if someone else is watching over your shoulder while they work on their laptop; all these features make me feel secure when I’m working alone at my desk

Battery Life

The Q535’s battery life is good, with a rating of 3 hours and 43 minutes on our test. This is slightly below average for laptops in this price range and better than others, but not as good as Asus’ other laptops we’ve tested.

Performance and Speed

The processor, RAM, and storage directly impact your laptop’s performance. The Q535 has an Intel Core i7-8550U CPU with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 256GB SSD. This combination allows for fast processing power and ample storage space for your files and programs.

The benchmarks show that this device achieves a score of 2140 on Geek bench 4 (higher is better). That puts it in the middle among all laptops tested at this price point—and higher than most ultra-portables under $1000!

Webcam and Sound Quality

The webcam is quality, and the sound quality is good. The noise cancellation feature works well but can’t be used using Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

The Q535 has two microphones, one in the front and one on the back edge of its chassis, which help it capture clear audio when you’re speaking on Skype, FaceTime, or other calls.

Software and Apps

In addition to the standard Windows 10 operating system, you can install apps from the Microsoft Store. Here are some of our favorites:

  • Microsoft Office 365 – This subscription is worth considering if you need a full version of Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint for your laptop or desktop computer. It includes all major versions of each program and lets you access them from anywhere in the world as long as there is an internet connection.
  • Cyberlink PowerDirector 13 – This is an excellent video editing tool that can help people create professional-looking videos quickly and easily with minimal effort on their part (although there will be some learning involved). The program comes with three different versions depending on what kind of device it’s running on: “PowerDirector Basic,” which costs $39 per year; “Power Director Standard,” which costs $79 per year; and “PowerDirector Pro,” which costs $199 per year—all three offer similar functionality but differ primarily in how much storage space they take up on your hard drive (the latter two use external drives while basic only uses internal ones).

Value for Money

The Asus Q535 is a good value-for-money laptop with a wide range of features and performance. It’s not the most powerful or feature-packed laptop on the market, but it’s still one of our favorite 2-in-1s regarding performance and value for money.

The Q535 has a solid build quality, excellent battery life, and screen quality (although its 1080p resolution isn’t as sharp as other laptops in this category), plus a crisp keyboard that makes typing comfortable even after hours of use. Its touchpad also works well for basic navigation needs like moving around on websites or editing documents; however, there are some issues with accuracy when scrolling through long lists such as images or videos from websites like YouTube or Vimeo.

The sound quality from speakers is also good enough but not great—you can hear what’s being said clearly without any distortion, which is nice since many people prefer listening over watching videos while they work! In addition, there’s also a headphone jack if you want better audio fidelity instead.”

This is an excellent buy.

The Asus 2-in-1 Q535 is a great buy. At $349, it offers essential computing power and comes with a keyboard that feels nice to type on. The display is also a good size for watching movies or playing games. It’s less potent than some other laptops, but it will get the job done if you need something that can do basic tasks like homework or internet browsing without breaking the bank.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a laptop that can be used in all situations, from work to play and everything in between, then the Asus Q535 is what you’re looking for. It has a lovely screen and features like a touchpad and keyboard that make it easy to use.
